A new publication in the Journal of Palliative Medicine entitled, 'Staff Perceptions of End-of-Life Care following Implementation of the Liverpool Care Pathway for the Dying Patient in the Acute Care Setting: A New Zealand Perspective' by Jean B. Clark, Karen Sheward, Bridget Marshall, and Simon G. Allan has just been released. The article abstract can be viewed online here. The technical report of the GP Survey looking at General Practitioners' knowledge and perceptions of the Liverpool Care Pathway tool is now available for viewing and download from our website. The Health Research Council and the Ministry of Health funded study carried out by Massey University and the National LCP Office on the Culturally appropriate end of life care for Maori has completed Phases 1a and 1b of the study. A new publication in the International Journal of Evidence Based Healthcare entitled ‘Evaluating the role and value of a national office to coordinate the Liverpool Care Pathway implementation in New Zealand’ is now available. Founding National LCP Lead, Ms Theresa Mackenzie was the primary author of the article. The article can be accessed from the Wiley.com website. View the article abstract
The Health Research Council and the Ministry of Health recently announced their significant projects funded this year. Three of the projects announced included a collaborative research project between Massey University (Dr Maureen Holdaway) and Arohanui Hospice through the National LCP Office investigating Culturally appropriate end of life care for Maori. |
